"Modiji jawab do! jawab do!" chants resounded in Lok Sabha as it
convened this morning with the Opposition demanding the government
official answer what their position was on recovering black money
stashed in bank accounts abroad.
However reacting over the protest, a visibily annoyed Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan told Opposition MPs, "The manner in which you are shouting is unacceptable, the House stands adjourned till 12 pm."
The SP and JD(U) joined TMC's protest against black money outside Parliament.
"This protest is regarding getting black money back, we are with the TMC in this,'' JDU leader KC Tyagi said.
The winter session of Parliament will have its first working day on Tuesday as it was adjourned on Monday post obituary references. Narendra Modi government which is aiming to introduce and take up 37 bills is all set to face opposition over the Insurance Bill.
After Trinamool Congress, BJP's old ally Shiv Sena has also joined the ranks of parties opposing the bill.
Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav also joined the protests, clearly indicating that a united opposition will take on BJP government.
For the BJP, despite having a clear majority in the Lok Sabha, it is set to be difficult, even as the Shiv Sena has said that strained ties in Maharashtra would not prevent it from supporting the government at the Centre.
