भारत के इंटरसेप्टिक परीक्षण से बौखलाया पाकिस्तान, दी ये धमकी

हाल ही में भारत की ओर से परीक्षण किये गये सुपरसोनिक इंटरसेप्टर मिसाइल पर पाकिस्तान ने कड़ी आपत्ति जताई है। पाकिस्तानी प्रधानमंत्री नवाज शरीफ के विदेशी मामलों के सलाहकार सरताज अजीज ने कहा है कि वह इस मामले को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर उठाएंगे।

पाकिस्तानी अखबार डॉन के मुताबिक, रेडियो पाकिस्तान को दिये एक इंटरव्यू में अजीज ने भारत की ओर से सुपरसोनिक इंटरसेप्टर मिसाइल परीक्षण पर चिंता जाहिर करते हुए कहा कि इससे इलाके में शक्ति का संतुलन बिगड़ेगा। अजीज ने कहा कि पाकिस्तान लगातार अपनी रक्षा क्षमता बढ़ा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि पाकिस्तान की रक्षा प्रणाली में आधुनिक तकनीक को लगातार शामिल किया जा रहा है।

पाक पीएम के विदेश मामलों के सलाहकार अजीज ने कहा कि भारत के इस नए रक्षा विकास को पाकिस्तान अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर उठाएगा। सरताज अजीज का यह बयान इंडिया द्वारा सफलतापूर्वक देश में ही विकसित किए गए सुपरसोनिक इनरसेप्टर मिसाइल के टेस्ट के बाद आया है। यह मिसाइल किसी दुश्मन द्वारा दागे गए किसी भी बैैलिस्टिक मिसाइल को नष्ट करने में सक्षम है। इसका परीक्षण ओडिशा में किया गया है।

अजीज ने कहा कि भारत, अमेरिका के सहयोग का खूब मजा ले रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि वॉशिंगटन को लगता है कि मजबूत इंडिया से ही चीन को काबू में रखा जा सकता है।
भारत ने किया पृथ्वी-2 का परीक्षण

बता दें कि रविवार को भारत ने ओडिशा के तट पर स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित पृथ्वी-2 मिसाइल का सफल परीक्षण किया। परीक्षण रविवार सुबह 11.15 बजे लॉन्चिंग कमप्लेक्स से छोड़ा गया। इस आधुनिक तकनीक वाले सुपरसोनिक इंटरसेप्टिक मिसाइल के सफल परीक्षण के बाद भारत अमेरिका, रूस और इजराइल के मजबूत बैलेस्टिक मिसाइल डिफेंस क्लब में शामिल हो गया।

डिफेंस रिसर्च डिवेलपमेंट ऑर्गेनाइजेशन (डीआरडीओ) के सूत्रों ने बताया है कि यह परीक्षण सभी मानकों पर खरा उतरा है। इस मिसाइल का सफल परीक्षण एक बड़ी सफलता मानी जा रही है। खासकर इसे देश में ही विकसित किया गया है। इस मिसाइल से दुश्मनों के किसी भी मिसाइल को बीच में ही मार गिराया जा सकता है। रडार से ट्रैक होते ही इससे दुश्मनों की मिसाइल को नष्ट किया जा सकेगा।

पृथ्वी -2 की खूबियां

इस मिसाइल में मल्टिपल ट्रैकिंग सोर्स है। इसमें इनर्सेप्टर 7.5 मीटर लंबा है। इसमें नेविगेशन सिस्टम भी है। इसके साथ ही हाई-टेक कंप्यूटर और इलेक्ट्रो-मेकेनिकल ऐक्टिवेटर भी है। इनर्सेप्टर मोबाइल लॉन्चर से लैस है। इसमें इंडिपेंडेंट ट्रैकिंग क्षमता भी है। इसके साथ ही यह आधुनिक रेडार से भी लैस है। Read more http://www.jagran.com

ब्रसेल्स पहुंचने पर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को दिया गया गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी अपने तीन देशों के तीन दिवसीय दौरे के पहले चरण में आज ब्रसेल्स पहुंचे ।पीएम मोदी को हवाई अड्डे पर गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर दिया गया। इस दौरान पीएम 13 वें भारतीय-यूरोपियन शिखर सम्मेलन में हिस्सा लेंगे। ब्रसेल्स के लिए रवाना होने से पहले प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने वहां हुए आतंकी हमले का जिक्र करते हुए कहा कि बेल्जियम के लोगों की जीवटता और भावना को नमन करने के लिए कोई भी शब्द पर्याप्त नहीं हैं। ब्रसेल्स मे हुये भयानक हमले के बाद हम उनके साथ कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर खड़े हैं और हमले में मारे गये लोगों के परिजनों के प्रति संवेदना प्रकट करते हैं।

पीएम ने कहा कि बेल्जियम के साथ हमारे प्रगाढ़ संबंध हैं और यह समय की कसौटी पर खरे उतरे हैं। यूरोप में बेल्जियम भारत का दूसरा बड़ा व्याथपारिक साझेदार है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी का 30 मार्च को बेल्जियम प्रधानमंत्री चार्ल्से मिशेल से ब्रुसेल्सन में मिलने का कार्यक्रम है। इसके बाद यूरोपीय नेताओं के साथ 13वीं भारत-यूरोप शिखर सम्मेरलन में भी शामिल होने का कार्यक्रम रखा गया है।

Imran threatens to "shut down" Pakistan by 16 December

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief, in a rally here outside the Parliament, said that his protest will continue till the government initiate an inquiry into the "massive rigging" in last year's general elections, which saw Sharif's Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) win by a landslide.

"The ball is in your court, Nawaz Sharif — do your talks, do your investigations and solve the issue. We will close Pakistan down when December 16 comes, and what I do after that you will not be able to bear it...It has been 109 days and Naya Pakistan is waking up every day. We can all see it," Khan was quoted as saying by Dawn.

"On Thursday (December 4), I will go to Lahore and shut it down. On December 8 I will shut down Faisalabad, on December 12 I will go to Karachi and shut it down. By December 16 I will shut down all of Pakistan if the poll inquiry is not initiated," Khan said.

The cricketer-turned-politician has been holding protest-rallies in different cities to spread his movement, demanding a probe into the allegations of rigging the election.

Khan had launched his protest in mid-August, demanding Sharif's ouster, but he later withdrew his main demand of the Prime Minister's resignation ahead of the probe and offered the government to constitute a judicial commission comprising Supreme Court judges, ISI and Military Intelligence officials, to investigate the reported rigging.

December 16 is considered as a tragic day in the history of Pakistan as the country lost its eastern wing after a war with India when its army surrendered and Bangladesh emerged as an independent country.

The PTI leader said that if his demand for the impartial inquiry of the elections was not met, he would make the functioning of government "impossible".

He alleged that the Nawaz Sahrif government is promoting corruption and politics of patronage.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister's spokesman, Mussadik Malik said that it was "unfortunate" that Khan had threatened to "shut down" the country.

"What he want to achieve through it. I urge him to leave the politics of agitation and enter into a meaningful dialogue to achieve his objectives," he said.

Minister for Railways Saad Rafiq said such announcements cannot be made by a patriotic person.

"Imran wants to spread anarchy and derail democracy in the disguise of bringing true democracy," he said.

Modi, Sharif shake hands after cold vibes at SAARC summit

Modi put his hand on Sharif's arm as the two leaders looked at cameras with a long handshake even as they exchanged a few sentences. Loud applause greeted this apparent thaw which was in contrast to the two leaders ignoring each other on Wednesday.

"The two leaders exchanged pleasantries when they met for the first time after arriving here," External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said.

The leaders gathered at Dhulikhel in Kavre district, 30 km east of the Nepalese capital, for the traditional SAARC retreat on the concluding day of the two-day summit.   

At the retreat, they held private, unofficial talks in a relaxed and more informal atmosphere.

Sources said all the leaders met in informal settings and talked about various regional issues.

There was no discussion on bilateral issues, they said.
  
The SAARC Foreign Ministers, including External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Pakistan Prime Minister's Advisor on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz, were also present at the retreat.

Pakistan wants meaningful dialogue with India: Sharif

Sharif said during an in-flight press briefing late night on his return from the 18th Saarc Summit in Nepal that Pakistan wants to discuss all issues including Kashmir with India through a proper dialogue, news agency reported.

Moments before the 18th SAARC Summit concluded after two days of deliberations here, Modi and Sharif shook hands and exchanged a few sentences to loud applause of other leaders and their delegations which were witness to the cold vibes between the two Prime Ministers at the opening session yesterday when they ignored each other.

"Let's not read too many things into courtesies that are being extended," Indian External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said on the brief interaction between Modi and Sharif.

"Baat bhi hui mulaqaat bhi hui (they met and also talked)," the Spokesperson said, but categorically denied that there was any "one-on-one" contact between Modi and Sharif.

Noting that India had already made it clear that there were no "substantive and structured" discussions between the two Prime Ministers, Akbaruddin said, "This is what exactly happened" and reiterated India's position for "cooperative, peaceful" relations with Pakistan.

During their brief interaction towards the end of the summit, Modi put his hand on Sharif's arm as the two leaders looked at cameras with a long handshake even as they exchanged a few sentences.

The brief Modi-Sharif bonhomie was summed up by a tweet by Akbaruddin, "the photo all were waiting for".

This was the second time during the day that the two leaders had shaken hands and exchanged pleasantries, the first occasion being the retreat in Dhulikhel, a picturesque tourist resort, about 30 km from Kathmandu, where the SAARC leaders held deliberations in an informal setting.

At the concluding session, Modi also clapped before and after Sharif's vote of thanks as the host for the next SAARC Summit in Islamabad.

As in the past SAARC Summits, the chemistry between Indian and Pakistani leaders grabbed much attention at this conclave of the eight South Asian nations.

Nepal played key role in Modi-Sharif handshake

"Although we have created an atmosphere for meeting of the two leaders, it is the two leaders themselves who took initiative for the handshake," Foreign Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, who was also present on the occasion, said.
  
"SAARC is for creating a goodwill and understanding among all the member countries and the regional grouping could not move forward without the cooperation among them," Pandey said.
  
"We could not have forced them to shake hands," said the Foreign Minister, adding that the brief meeting between Modi and Sharif could not have taken place if the two leaders were not willing to do so.
  
Host country Nepal organised a retreat for the SAARC leaders in Dhulikhel, the picturesque resort city situated in the east of Kathmandu on the final day of the Summit.
  
The retreat organised by Nepal created an environment for the leaders of the two countries to come together.
  
On a question about whether he played any role for the handshake Prime Minister Koirala said, "SAARC will move forward in the path of democracy and development, and it will create an atmosphere of understanding and trust among all the member states."
  
"It is not important who initiated, rather what happened matters," said Koirala, adding the gesture was "significant".
  
Modi and Sharif had ignored each other yesterday during the opening session of the eight-nation SAARC Summit.
  
Lack of warmth between the two Prime Ministers at the SAARC is reflective of the sudden downslide in Indo-Pak ties after India called off Foreign Secretary-level talks over Pakistan envoy's meeting with Kashmiri separatists in August ahead of the parleys between the top diplomats.

Pakistan ready for talks, awaits India's first step: Nawaz Sharif

Speaking in the Nepal's capital city, where he reached on Tuesday to attend 18th Summit of South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation (Saarc) Nov 26-27, Sharif said India cancelled foreign secretary-level talks.

Earlier in the day, Sartaj Aziz, advisor to Prime Minister Sharif on national security and foreign affairs, on his arrival here denied that there were any plans for a Modi-Sharif bilateral. He, however, said that such a meeting could be held if Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj makes a request.

He said it was up to India to have "informal talks" with Pakistan.

Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday briefly met and shook hands with Aziz on the eve of the Saarc Summit but later clarified to media that "It was out of courtesy".

Angered by the Pakistan High Commissioner's refusal to call off talks with Kashmiri separatist leaders in New Delhi, despite Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh calling up High Commissioner Abdul Basit to request it, India called off on August 25, 2014, foreign secretary level talks with Pakistan.

Taliban chief Mehsud killed in drone strike: Pak Media

पेशावर/इस्लामाबाद। पाकिस्तान के उत्तरी वजीरिस्तान में अमेरिकी ड्रोन हमले में छह तालिबान आतंकियों सहित संगठन का मुखिया हकीमुल्ला महसूद भी मारा गया। पाकिस्तानी मीडिया के मुताबिक, अमेरिकी खुफिया एजेंसी सीआइए के ड्रोन हमले में महसूद के अलावा उसका चाचा, अंगरक्षक तारिक महसूद और ड्राइवर अब्दुल्ला महसूद भी मारे गए। 

पाकिस्तान तालिबान ने हकीमुल्ला की मौत की पुष्टि करते हुए बताया कि शनिवार दोपहर 3 बजे मीरानशाह इलाके में उसको सुपुर्द-ए-खाक किया जाएगा।

खुफिया सूत्रों के मुताबिक, दांडा दरपाखेल के जिस परिसर पर दो मिसाइलों से हमला किया गया, वह पूरी तरह नष्ट हो गया है। हमले के समय परिसर में तालिबान की अहम बैठक चल रही थी। अब तक अधिकारियों की ओर से महसूद के मारे जाने के संबंध में कोई टिप्पणी नहीं की गई है।

गौरतलब है कि अमेरिका पाकिस्तान के आदिवासी इलाकों में आतंकियों पर लगातार ड्रोन हमले कर उनकी कमर तोड़ रहा है। हालांकि, इससे पहले भी पाकिस्तान के साथ ही अंतरराष्ट्रीय मीडिया में महसूद के मारे जाने के समाचार कई बार आ चुके हैं, लेकिन वह कुछ समय तक भूमिगत रहने के बाद फिर सामने आ जाता है।

पाकिस्तान के गृह मंत्री चौधरी निसार अली खान ने प्रधानमंत्री नवाज शरीफ व नेताओं के साथ आज की घटना पर बैठक बुलाकर चर्चा की। चौधरी का दावा है कि ये हमले पाकिस्तान की शांति की कोशिशों पर पानी फेर रहे हैं। उनके मुताबिक शनिवार को एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल तालिबान से बात करने के लिए जाने वाला था। 

कुछ ही समय पहले अमेरिका के विशेष बल ने तहरीक-ए-तालिबान पाकिस्तान के उप-प्रमुख लतीफ महसूद को अफगानिस्तान में धर दबोचा था। शुक्रवार को किया गया हमला दो दिन में दूसरा ड्रोन अटैक था। गुरुवार के हमले में तीन संदिग्ध आतंकी मारे गए थे। पिछले महीने पाकिस्तान के पीएम नवाज शरीफ की अमेरिका यात्रा के बाद भी यह दूसरा ड्रोन हमला था। 

सूत्रों के मुताबिक, शुक्रवार को जिस परिसर को निशाना बनाया गया वह तालिबान पाकिस्तान का केंद्रीय कार्यालय था, जहां महसूद अक्सर आता था। बैतुल्ला महसूद के मारे जाने के बाद अगस्त, 2009 में हकीमुल्ला ने तहरीक-ए-तालिबान की कमान अपने हाथ में ली थी।
